My husband (Mark) and I love to travel and were excited to think about how we could do more once we retired. As our retirement loomed, we talked about several options. One evening we talked about not just traveling “to” but actually living “in” a different country for about a year at a time for the first 5-7 years of our retirement. It was like a light went on for both of us. We knew this was exactly what we wanted to do, and chose Saigon, Vietnam as our first stop.
With our first adopted city and country chosen, we sold our house, furniture, and cars. With 4 suitcases plus one backpack each we took off and landed in Saigon on October 15, 2023.
The posts here are reflections of Saigon. What I see, learn, and experience while living in this big, beautiful, bustling city.
