Chicago restaurants

Havana is a small restaurant on Clark (between Hubbard and Kinzie) – An easy walk from many of the hotels in the area. Specializing in what they call Cuban and Pan-Latin inspired food and drinks, the place seems to cater more to the local neighborhood and regular patrons than tourists (many who flock just steps away to the always crowded Frontera Grill.)

The dark wooden bar, tables and booths are warm and inviting and the green plants swaying in the breeze of ceiling fans give it a tropical feel. All the while, soft Cuban music plays in the background, however, I assume that it does get much louder once the live music starts later in the evening.

I love finding little “hidden” gems like Havana, and I’ll definitley keep it on my list for when I’m in the Windy City.
